Choosing the right ring

Choose a ring she'll love while you keep your proposal a surprise…

Ring Size

Although all of our rings can be resized, you can try to find out her exact ring size so she can wear her ring straight away. You could trace the inside of the ring on a piece of paper which the staff at MAX can then use to determine an accurate measurement.

You could also put one of her rings on your own fingers. Push it down as far as it will go and then mark the spot with a pen. Then come up and see us and we will measure it for you.

A trustworthy friend of the soon-to-be bride’s can be of great assistance. It’s not uncommon for one friend to ask another for their ring size as a matter of curiosity. Just be sure you choose a friend who can keep a secret!

If you can bring one of her rings in to us without arousing any suspicion, this will probably be the safest course of action. Offer to take her jewellery to be cleaned and we can measure her ring at the same time.

However, you might like to combine some features of one with some features of another. You may like something designed and created especially for you. On the other hand you might like to design your own ring.

Under all of these circumstances it is important to speak directly with a designer, he or she will never try to influence your choice, but can always tell you how to maximise your diamonds brilliance and fire.
