What Are Diamonds?

Diamonds are a form of crystallised carbon, formed billions of years ago deep within the earth’s mantle. They journeyed to the surface via eruptions of molten rock through fissures in the earth’s surface. Few diamonds have made it to our planet’s surface; even fewer are of gem quality that can be sourced, cut, polished, designed and worn as precious jewellery.

Diamonds are the hardest natural substance on earth; the only thing that can scratch a diamond is another diamond. It is its rarity, durability and sheer beauty that makes the diamond so precious.
